Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple - Announcement

Please do not attend Temple if you have flu-like symptoms or been in close contact with someone Covid-19 positive. Mask and sanitization are both mandatory. There is no mandate for places of Worship to check vaccination status of attendees as of October 1st  and HSS board will follow this guideline (see link). We encourage all members to follow the Provincial Covid-19 vaccination guidelines and that of your medical advisors to learn more about the life saving benefits of covid-19 vaccines.

  1. Sunday Temple Worship and Mahaprasad Regular Sunday Temple Worship (10:30 AM to 12:30 PM).  This Sunday October 3rd  Maha Prasadam is sponsored by Angeethi Flames. Devotee Shri Karan, Mrs. Neelam Singh their family-n-friends are blessed to prepare Rajasthani Dal Bati Churma and offer Bhog  to our beloved Shri Lakshmi Narayan ji & Mahaprasadam for the congregation.

    You are also welcome to take the honor and blessing to offer bhog to  Shri Lakshmi Narayan ji and coordinate Mahaprasadam Preetibhoj with temple board, please

  2. Mata Ki Chauki: Friday October 8th 2021 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. An evening of melodious Mataji ki bajans and Kirtans by well known singer Bharat Sharma. Mahaprasadam will be served at the end of Bhog and Arati. Everyone is welcome for free but due to Covid-19, only 100 participants will be allowed (1/3 capacity of Geeta Bhawan). If interested, there are optional sponsorships all funds raised go towards Temple operations. Payment can be made by e-transfer at hindusocietyofsaskatchewan@gmail.com or donate online at  https://www.slntemple.ca/. Please indicate "Mata Ki Chauki" when sponsoring/donating. Due to Covid-19 measures, it's very important that all participants provide their names and how many people will accompany them at hindusocietyofsaskatchewan@gmail.com.

  3. New Hindu Society of Saskatchewan Website: We are looking for your advice, comments and inputs to better our new website at  https://www.slntemple.ca. Donations can now be made online now via debit or credit card directly. All your generous donations help with the daily operations, events planning and Hindu festivals celebrations at our beloved and beautiful Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

  4. Yoga at Temple: Every Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Coordinated by our experienced instructors - Mrs Neeru Kavia, Dr Punam Pahwa and Shri Dinesh Yadav. Yoga harmonizes our mind, body and soul. It encompasses gentle stretching, breathing techniques, meditation, encourages relaxation and reduces stress. There's no cost associated with participants and we encourage our members to join along with their family and friends. 

  5. Daily Temple Opening:  Temple is open for Darshan during the 
    weekdays 
    from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. 
    Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. 
    Sunday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

    epending on the availability of the coordinators and speakers on that specific weekday we have activities planned. We are pleased to let you know that devotee Shri 
    Deepak Kaushik's family-n-friends are blessed to organize Tuesday's Bhog and Mahaprasadam for our beloved Shri Lakshmi Narayan ji after an hour long of Hanuman Chalisa/bajans.

  6. Remembering the pioneer Founding Members who had the vision for a Hindu Place of Worship (our beloved temple). It is due to the pioneer's and their blessings we enjoy this very own Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple temple every day and years to come.

We, as the HSS Board, are here to serve you better and aim to foster the spirit of 
community friendship, peace and devotion to Lord Lakshmi Narayan.

As a place of worship we strictly follow provincial health guidelines. 

Mask (Face covering) is required  for all when attending Temple services. 
For the health and safety of our youngsters who are yet not eligible for vaccination.
    We urge and encourage vaccinated devotees to attend temple services and private events. 


PLEASE DO NOT VISIT TEMPLE IF YOU HAVE ANY FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS.
