Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple - Announcement
1. Diwali,
Lakshmi Puja & Rangoli Competition 2022: Lakshmi puja
will be celebrated on Sunday October 30th 2022 10:30 a.m. -12:30
p.m. Puja will be conducted by Dr Suresh Kalagnanam. Sponsorship is
$51/family that helps the society organize Lakshmi puja and all
devotees who sponsored will receive a gift and
a Temple Calendar. Donations can be made by e-transfer at donate@slntemple.ca or donate
online at https://SLNTemple.ca Please indicate
"Lakshmi Puja 2022" when sponsoring/donating. Diwali
Day is on Monday, October 24th 2022, and the Temple will be open
from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m for kirtan, light prasadam and his
Worship Mayor Charlie Clark will celebrate Diwali with us between 6:00
p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Please bring lots of sweets to share with devotees on
Diwali day. Rangoli competition is from Sunday October 23rd in front of the
Main Temple entrance and has to be completed by Oct 24th 4:00 p.m. for the
judges to select the winner who in turn will receive a sponsored $50 gift as
prize from the Temple.
2. Reflection on Hinduism: On Thursday,
October 27th 2022 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. by Dr Nawal Sharma. Please come
and support this HSS traditional lecture series. Dr Nawal Sharma is a long
time devotee and enthusiastic supporter of Shri Lakshmi Narayan
Temple. Let's show our appreciation and learn about Hinduism by attending
the wonderful lecture that will be broadcasted on Zoom

3. Memorial Service: Please join us for a memorial
service in loving memory of Syed Mohammed Hussain Rizvi, son of Fatima and late
Syed Baqar Hussain Rizvi on October 21 at 6pm at Geeta Bhawan, 107 La Ronge
Road, Saskatoon.
4. Free Yoga at Temple
Every Saturday:
Please attend and enjoy the benefit of Yoga. Yoga is brought for
free for every age category (Power Yoga, Soft Yoga, Chair Yoga, Kids Yoga,
Breathing Techniques & Meditation) from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m every
Saturday by our qualified yoga instructors. Special Children Yoga is planned on
November 12th 2022 at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to sign in on our

5. Mahaprasadam: Giving is gaining -
Our sincere thanks to Milan Ukany & family for serving blessed
Mahaprasadam to the entire congregation on October 9th and devotees Anita
& Aditya Mehta who sponsored Mahaprasadam on October
16th. Special thanks to devotee Pruthvi
Lakadwala from Hakka Express for continuously providing delicious
motichoor ladoos for prasad distribution every Sunday. Next Sunday, Oct
23rd 2022, Mahaprasadam will be sponsored by devotees Vinit Mooy, Manan,
Sambit and Yuri families and friends. If you would like to sponsor Mahaprasadam
on Sundays to celebrate your special occasion with the congregation after
prayers for 130 devotees and/or donate groceries from the Temple list provided,

6. Darshan Fund: A fundraiser
for temple accessibility and to hire a priest/purohit. All devotees who sign up
will get access to the Temple for darshan on their own time with a proximity
card just like going to the gym on your own time. In addition to all the
benefits, for $20/month, you will be actively promoting Hinduism in

2022 at 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m right after Mahaprasadam. Please save this date
