Other important announcements 

1.  Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal 2022 (SK) to HSS: Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor, His Honour the Honourable Russ Mirasty has selected the Hindu Society of Saskatchewan to receive this special honour for our contribution to social wellbeing in Saskatchewan. President Vishal Jheengut will receive the medal on Nov 17th 2022 on behalf of HSS. Congratulations to our HSS board and the community.

2.   Yogathon, Wellness Seminar, Hindu Heritage Month & Potluck Day - Saturday, November 26 2022 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in Temple: HSS is organizing a Yogathon Day followed by Wellness seminar by Dr K Gowda. There will be a potluck lunch as well. What a great opportunity to showcase your favourite vegetarian recipe to your HSS family. Program – November 26^th 2022 at Temple

3.   Soft Garage and Food Sale December 17th/18th in Geeta Bhawan: If you have unused or lightly used items that can be carried and transported easily in a car and you would like to donate to HSS to sell at the garage sale, committee members are Anu Kashyap, Neeru Kavia & Pari Padmanab - please contact Pariji 306-380 7586 for drop off details. Items have to be fairly new, usable and in working conditions. Please join us to make the garage sale on both days a successful fundraising event for the Temple. Food sale will be only on Saturday December 17th 2022. 

4.    Mahaprasadam: Giving is gaining - Our sincere thanks to Drs. Anita & Otto Moodley for serving blessed Mahaprasadam to the entire congregation on November 6th. Special thanks to devotee Pruthvi Lakadwala from Hakka Express for continuously providing delicious motichoor ladoos for prasad distribution every Sunday. Next Sunday, Nov 13th 2022, Mahaprasadam will be sponsored by devotees Renuka/Ravi Jangid family. If you would like to sponsor Mahaprasadam on Sundays to celebrate your special occasion with the congregation after prayers for 130 devotees and/or donate groceries from the Temple list provided, please click here for project details.

5.  Darshan Fund: A fundraiser for temple accessibility and to hire a priest/purohit. All devotees who sign up will get access to the Temple for darshan on their own time with a proximity card just like going to the gym on your own time.  In addition to all the benefits, for $20/month, you will be actively promoting Hinduism in Saskatoon! click for details

6. SAGM 2022: Sunday, Nov 27th 2022 at 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m right after Mahaprasadam.
