NOTICE 

Annual General Meeting

Date: Sunday, April 24th 2022 at 1:30 p.m.

Venue: Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple

Mandatory Registration for HSS Members in Attendance

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM)of the Hindu Society of Saskatchewan will be held in person on Sunday, April 24^th 2022, at 1.30 PM for the purpose of:

a) Receiving and considering the annual report and financial statements for the year ended on 31^st December 2021 and the report of the auditors thereon

b) Electing Board Members for 2022/23

c) Appointing auditor for the year 2022

d) Transacting such further and other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof.

HSS NOMINATION COMMITTEE 2022

According to Article X, section 1.0 of HSS by-laws, the HSS board 2021-2022 has appointed the following members to serve in the nomination committee for year 2022;

1. Mrs Anu Kashyap - Chair  (306-381 9350); Email: kashyap_anu@hotmail.com 

2. Dr. Suresh Kalagnanam (306-292 9251); Email: suvujaya@yahoo.ca

3. Mr. Pragnesh Patel (306-203 9887);  Email: pragnesh930@gmail.com 

An integral agenda item of the Annual General Meeting of the Hindu Society of Saskatchewan is the election of the Board of Directors. While the bylaw requires that vacant positions are made known to the membership, we are in an unprecedented year. The 2021 nomination committee was unable to fill the complete slate of directors and a motion was made at last year's AGM to authorize the board to fill the vacant positions which the Board did very successfully.

The Board successfully appointed 6 directors for the remaining vacant positions .  The 6 appointed directors by the Board are

1. Treasurer : one position

2. General Secretary: one position

3. Out reach Coordinator: one position

4. Facilities Coordinator: one position

5. Fund Raising Coordinator: one position

6. Member at Large: one position

As such at present, we are assuming these positions could be vacant . The current nomination committee is working to determine if these six appointed directors are willing to continue on the board. If you are interested in serving on the board of directors for any of the above positions, please reach out to the chair of the nomination committee, Anu Kashyap at Kashyap_anu@hotmail.com or at 306-381-9350.
